99 lumina 3.1 right next to the oil filter there is what looks like a sensor its plugged in to what looks like the block, one wire coming from it i snipped on accident just wanted to know what it is if anything serious

if it's above the oil filter at 12 o clock... that's the knock sensor!

if it's to the right of the filter & above the starter, that's the oil pressure sender unit
