2001 zx2 cranks but wont start

Selectron I need help, this escort has me puzzled. car turns over but no start. I have spark in all plugs, have fuel comming out of fuel filter when fuel pump comes on, (I diconnected hose to check this) The cut off switch is in the reset position. It makes a buzzing noise at the injectors once key is turned over? It has stalled a few times before but started back up before this problem. The other day my wife and I were driving down the road and it just stalled out and never started again. I also checked the the timming belt to see if it broke but it is still turning. If anyone has any suggestion im willing to try them out

If you have a stethoscope or some object you can use as one,try and listen for the injectors to make a clicking sound when you are cranking the engine. If they aren't clicking, then they aren't injecting fuel.

Does the engine sputter and try to start at all, or is it just dead?

If it is sputtering and trying to go then you might have a compression issue.
