93 dakota
I recently bought a 93 dakota for 700 bucks with 130K miles for a little beater work truck (5.2 L) They guy who had it didnt do much maintnence on it. Any way i have completely rebuilt the rear brakes, wheel cylnders, pads, springs... did not replace the drums cause they didnt seem that bad. Now i didnt do anything to the front brakes, rotors are ok and pads are about 50 %. Now for one reason or another the rear brakes are not adjusing by them selfs. and when i hit the brakes firmly i get a clank clank clank noise that i think is coming form the back. almost like the pads are binding up inside the drum. Has anyone had a problem like this and is there somewhere on the web where i can find a diagram of the rear brakes so i can make sure they are rite. ive down many brake jobs and never had this problem after all the new parts... i have also replaced the front and rear struts, sway bar busings, sway bar link kit with busings, and a couple of brake lines. I know i need front upper and maybe lower control arm busings. Could this sound possably be the control arms trying to twist with the pressure on the front suspension from the frnt brakes ? any help would be grate
