95 88 royal A/C issue

I have a problem with the A/C request signal on my 88 royal. This car has the funky auto climate control with passenger controls with about every bell and whistle that you can think of.

Now with an appropriate ambient and inside car temperature and the system set for an appropriate temperature I do not get an A/C request signal to the ECM to start the pump or kick the fans on high. The A/C refrigerant pump switch is good and sending the normal signal to the ECM, the pressure cycling switch is closed but I have no signal to it. If I jumper in 12 volts to the output of that plug the compressor starts and I get a the request signal to the ECM the blower motor kicks to High and the ECM reports a normal pressure.

I guess my question is where on earth is the A/ C high-pressure switch. Does the 95 royal actually have that switch, or am I missing the older style signal from the power steering rack? I traced the two blue wires to the cycling switch (the “clicks on” next to the dryer) and they go to the main plug that goes into the passenger compartment. After looking/ poking under the dash I did not see any exposed plumbing for the A/C.

I have not actually allowed the a/c to run but when I check the high and low side pressure without the car running. It is at an appropriate pressure for the temperature.

Re: 95 88 royal A/C issue

Finally found the problem. Some one had changed the pump. The new pump did not have the pressure switch installed. That Tech had cut off the plug, spliced the wires with a butt splice, and then tucked the wires into the loom. Needless to say that splice failed. But in the mean time I was looking for the switch in the wrong place.
