I finally added a rear hitch to the Blazer and would like to know where is the easiest place to grab my feeds for the flat 4 wire connector. BTW I'm also going to weld up a front hitch point so I can park my boat in the tight driveway. TIA

Where ever there is a good clear open space to tap into the rear tail/brake/turn signal wiring.


Always use wiring code
Yellow = left turn
green = right turn
Brown = tail/park lights

Car wiring uses black for ground and trailer may use white wire for groud.

I like to use trailer plug white ground wire grounded to frame ground.

If you splice in trailer plug always soldr wires and use moisture sealer to seal wires.
No quick connectors.

A lot of places have a trailer wiring kit that will plugin to the rear frame wiring.
Easy install and Saves butchering your wiring.

Get a Hoppy trailer wiring adaptor which will plug into your existing weather pack connector at the rear of the truck.

Part#47345....about $11.00.

Thank you, for the info folks. BTW a 96 doesn't have an easy plug in you have to tap in. But I found though a search of Hoppy kits installation PDFs and the harness should be drivers side behind bumper. When it stops raining I'll climb under to check.
