Kumo tires?
Do you guys have any experience/opinions on these? http://www.kumhousa.com/Tire.aspx?id...c9ecbf2&cat=22 My 195/60-15 Continentals are about shot, so I'm looking for cost effective replacements. I can get a full set shipped to my door for under $250, mounted/balanced for another ~$50. I gasped at the price, but nearly bought a set of Cooper CS4's for ~$400 out the door some months ago, but my usual Cooper guy only had 3 in stock at the time so I bailed. The Snow stopped falling so it sat on the back burner 'till now. Unreal that a cheapy econo-car like my $12K Cobalt has tires that START around $100/ea if you want any semblance of a name brand on there. Long gone are the days of a $40, 13 or 14".

Re: Kumo tires?
Keep us updated on the Kumho's! My Continentals only have about 4300 miles on them, but I don't like the idea of another winter with them. Looking at TireRack's survey results for Kumho Solus KH16 and Kumho Solus KH21 tires, they both seemed to do pretty well. (Disclaimer: I've never purchased from TireRack and I certainly don't work for them, but I haven't really heard anything bad about them.) Locally, a tire dealer told me that the Solus KH21's are good tires, but will wear quicker if you drive on gravel roads as I do. He recommended (for my 06 Chrysler Sebring Touring) Hankook Mileage Plus II, which I really like so far with about 30000 miles on them. Much better than the originals, which were Goodyear Eagle LS's.
