Smile Throttle cutting out

96 grand voyager
when you press the gas while driving it won't go you pull over and then when you give it gas it goes.the van does not loose power it is still running.it did this 2 weeks ago then it has done this every two days.any ideas i have talked to a couple of people and they said it could be the thottle position sensor.

Welcome to the forum. Are you seeing a service engine light? In either case you can either do the key dance to read codes or head to an AutoZone or the like and they will connect a scanner and read the more informative "P" codes for free in most states. I would lean away from (not eliminate) a TP sensor. Why would it not work when at speed and work fine from a stand still? I would think you'd see hesitation, stumble anytime you pushed the accelerator. Poor acceleration at speed is one indicator for a week fuel pump. From a standstill punch the accelerator a good bit more than normal. If it stumbles I'd lean towards the pump. Check fuel pressure with a pressure gauge. AutoZone or similar store will lend you one for a deposit. Some will even check it for you.
