Ssps

I had the code SSPS come up on the dash of my 04 Optra LS does anyone know what it means and what I need to do beside take it to a dealer?

my optra has the same light on. the dealer told me it means " Speed Sensitive Power Steering". i dont know if that light is supposed to be on .

That light wasn't on when I bought the car. It comes on but will go out from time to time. When I first start the car it isn't on. It stays off for varying lengths of time.

my light was on when i bought my car and never has turned off since. maybe i should get it checked out.

I wouldn't worry about it. When it has come on while I have been driving it doesn't seem to change anything.
