Exclamation depressurize fuel lines!!!

I have been helping my friend with his head gasket. We have the upper intake off but now i realized we need to depressurize the fuel lines so we can remove the hard lines. Any info would help 97 ford explorer 5.0

Re: depressurize fuel lines!!!

Install a fuel pressure gauge on the rail and slowly bleed the fuel off into a container.

They will probably rent you the tool. You leave a deposit and when you return yhe tool, you get your deposit back.. Therefore it is a free loan a tool program.

hmm, i don't see the fuel pressure gauge as an option to their free loaner tool program online... but doesn't hurt to ask...

isn't it a schrader valve, just like a tire? and can you push the valve in w/ a tool to release pressure (of course, w/ a rag to cover the possible fuel spray)
