98 Lincoln Town Car - 3 windows of Four Will Not Function When temperature 80 Degrees

98 Lincoln Town car power windows (usually two of four) will not function when outside temperature exceeds about 80 degrees F. The connector at the motor reads 12 volts when putting the window switch in the roll-up position. They function properly during cooler temperatures. Obviously, something expands when they don't work and then contracts again when they function when the temperature is cooler. I don't believe the problem is the driver door module since the connector reads 12 volts at the motor when they do not function. Is there possibly a capacitor inside of the window motor that could be breaking down when the temperature is hot.? Does anyone have a solution?

Re: 98 Lincoln Town Car - 3 windows of Four Will Not Function When temperature 80 Deg

Ray,
My windows on my 2000 did the same thing. I think it was wet outside but it cleared up. The temperature was cool when it happened. My mechanic told me that the contacts were dirty when I complained about my power windows. I don't know if that helps.

Thanks, John

1)I would wash + clean all windows, and rubber gaskets with Rainx, the control module on the inside of the drivers door could be getting wet.
2) Open the drivers door, and check the rubber garment on the electrical buss line for water leaks.
