Re: DeAgostini 1/8th McLaren MP4-22
I would like to know if anyone had ordered a subscription and what you guys think of the model. You get 1 parcel of 4 issues every 4 weeks so the total time would a year and a half. I love the car but the fact that im in the US makes me think twice. Mark

Re: DeAgostini 1/8th McLaren MP4-22
Mmmm I'm quite perplexed. Didn't seen in person this one, but I seen in past other stuff from them built by good friends and the common feedback is "no bad", my personal opinion is that the detail level is quite far from our modeler's standards. I think their target is more on the die cast/collectors area, in fact my firends mounts what I seen for collectors, not for their own.
But may a thing that you pay thousands dollars be "no bad"? Sure would be giant. That said by an italian

Re: DeAgostini 1/8th McLaren MP4-22
Quality is not bad and the end results are usually good looking, however the final price is usually very high too.
I personally have started to collect the parts for the 1/4th scale Ferrari Enzo engine and the quality of the parts (many of them in metal) and the documentation that came with it was good, but after the post managed to lose a couple numbers I searched a bit around and found out that the end price would have been something between 800 and 900 Euro, so I gave up and canceled the subscription. As a conclusion the quality is good (not model kit quality, rather very good die cast quality given the scale), but you need to factor in the price. |
