2008 GP GXP-Service Stability System?
Hi. I have a 2008 Grand Prix GXP 4-door. About 7,000 miles on it. Last week it gave me a message "Service Stability System". Has this happened to anyone else? There didn't seem to be anything wrong with the car. Hubby checked underneath and couldn't determine anything amiss. This message popped up as I was pulling out of a smooth on-street parking space. The message went away, and I haven't seen it again since. Are there any service bulletins about this? Was it just a fluke? The only other messages I have seen so far are "it's about time to change the oil", which I did, and I had it switched over to synthetic oil.

Re: 2008 GP GXP-Service Stability System?
I am not sure if this pertains to your situation. There is a Service Bulletin 08-05-25-004A dated November 2008, that covers possible codes in memory and the "Stabilitrak", "ABS", or "TCS" lights being illuminated. You should take it to your dealership and have them use their "TECH II " scan tool on your vehicle next time this occurs.
Just a thought. |
