1989 Ford Probe rear hub retaining nut removal

It appears that the "pin" in the rear hub retaining nut on my 89 Probe cannot be punched out to remove wheel drum. Can this be drilled through and replaced? Any suggestions. THANKS! I'm trying to replace the wheel bearing. FYI: there is no grease cap; don't know how long it has been lube-less.

By pin do you mean it is a "cotter" pin? If so you should be able to straighten it out and pull it out with a pair of needle nose piers or so. If you can't get it out, just go ahead and pull the nut off. It will shear the pin and you will be able to pull the drum off. Just poke something through the shaft to take out what is left of the cotter pin. Replace the pin when you get it all back together again.
