I need help unlocking my cavalier cd player
i went to the junk yard and pulled a factory cd player out of a newer model cavalier and hoked it up to my 2000 model and all i get is the time and "locked" displayed on my screen. the chevy dealer said that it would cost me 75 dollars to reset the code. Is there anyone that can help me with this headache.

Re: I need help unlocking my cavalier cd player
some salvage yards have people who use to work for dealers or just somehow know the codes, i bought a radio out of a salvage yard and the guy tested it BEFORE i left and showed me the code for future reference,,there are many like 5-6codes check around but the place you bought it from should have activated it and always get the code AND sequence just in case you have to change out a battery
