drive shaft question
i'm planning on installing a turbo 350 and a jegster crossmemeber for it into my 1986 Monte Carlo SS.it has the 200r4(or 2004r) in it right now and the 305ho,but i'm also changing to a 355.some my question is..........do i need a different shaft using the aftermarket crossmemeber and the turbo350?? someoe told me i didnt.i want to double check befor ei go do this and find out i fuc*ed up.lol

Are you sure it's a 2004-R? Or could it be a 700R-4? Most small blocks got the 700, though I HAVE seen a fw with 200..
Anyway, measure from the bellhousing flange to the tail (a tape meaure is good enough for this). I believe they're the same for TH350 and TH2004-R, but I could be wrong (wouldn't be the first time...). The slip-yoke should be the same. Jim |

it is a 200-4r.....because i checked the oilpan on it.lol.they're both the same length the th350 and the 200-4r. all the aftermarket crossmember doe sit relocate the trans mount poit back 6inches for the th350 mount.
