burning engine oil!
i just bought a 1995 ford thunderbird two weeks ago. i just put oil in it last week and ive burned about a quart already! my friend says it could be the rings. is this right or could it be somehting else. and if you know the problem wats an estimate on the price to get it fixed.

Re: burning engine oil!
Check the Pcv valve and clean the hoses. Does it smoke when driving or on initial start in the morning.
If it was sitting a long time before you purchased it pull all spark plugs fill cylinders with brake fluid let it sit all night. roll over the engine with plugs out change oil and filter and reinstall spark plugs. |
