2001 MR2 P/S light is on and power steering not working

Hi all,

Have a 2001 MR2 with 105k on it. The P/S light is on and it is hard to steer when the car is not moving. However before jumping in on a big project to replace the PS motor or rack, I wanted to know if anyone can shed light on this. Is there a fuse or relay for the PS if so where? I've looked in all 4 fuse boxes and none of which are marked for the PS. The owners manual says take to dealer but, I know it will be expensive to take it to them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
