HI, I am going 2 be 16 in about to months I really hope you all don't mind helping me. BUt I'm really clueless of what kind of car I want, I want something kind of sporty but inexpensive like a civic or toyota celica I like cars with spoilers and I like really bright cars like a bright red I know that doesn't have anything to do with the type of car, but I just want some idea or something thanks so much for you time, and your help

glad to help.
im gonna guess ur american, and that those $7,000 are US dollas... for that sort of money u can have a decent little sports car as long as you follow some guidelines. 1. dont buy a brand new car, or even from past 5 years. for the price of a new(er) car u can get a fantastic 10-15 yrold one, thats faster, bigger, better looking and less common; and probably more reliable. 2. stick with 4 cylinder engines or v6's at most, that arent big on displacement and that dont have a turbo. this way getting the car insured wont cause any problems, or deep holes in the wallet. 3. buy a trusted car make that is known for durability, like honda, nissan, toyota or maybe some domestic cars? 4. if u look at cars for sale adds in the local newspaper or whatever, u will find that many cars whose body's have been modified (bodykit, wheels, details, interior etc) are alot cheaper than you expect them to be. that is because most have stock engines (tuned/modified engines give value), but no stock looks. this means the car is less wanted by the main stream crowd, which makes it cheaper. and if you like how it looks, it can be your original looking ride, with the durability of a stock one for only half the money that was invested into the car. il give you some examples of what cars i think you should look into (your budget considered). 1990 honda integra LS - 1.8L DOHC inline-4, manual or auto available. 1992 toyota celica 1.8L or 2.0L im not sure... VERY reliable cars. ![]() nissan 180sx - probably over $7,000 if u get a turbo... oh and it has a 1.8L 4cyl engine. hope this helps! l8r! Last edited by blazed on haze :\; 03-30-2003 at 11:49 PM. |
