Jap model shops
Hi guys I'm heading to Tokyo in Sept and would like to ask if any of you guys know good places for buying models?
I meanly want upgrade parts and resin kits but a good selection of plastic kits will also be good. Ofcoz if you guys know where to get them cheap it would be good I know that there will be thousands of hobby shops in Jap and that is exactly why I ask you guys about this because otherwise I wouldn't know which one to get into ![]() Thanks guys |

Re: Jap model shops
I was there a few years back. I found a very nice hobby shop just 15-20 min of train ride outside of Tokyo district. Unfortunately I hardly remember its name. It's called B-something
My advice is: first stop by any bookstores (they are everywhere in Tokyo) or check out the news stand in the convenient stores. Pick up a copy of HOBBY JAPAN magazine. Flip to the end of the magazine, there are 15-20 pages of advertisement of local hobby shops. Usually from the advertisement, you can figure out the specialty of the shops, and some even include maps. That was what I did last time. Good luck. |
