Anyone have this issue and solved it? I took out the right front speaker when I was in the door fixing the power lock. Speaker cage was in good shape, the wires were soldered solidly to the terminal, and the harness seemed to be in good shape. Are the speakers internally intermittent? I have noticed recently that things cut out when going over bumps. Alternates between left and right front. Rear right speaker does not work at all- is there even a speaker there?

Re: 03- Front speakers cutting out
Ok- update already! My wife tells me that if she puts her hand under the radio in the pocket (aftermarket JVC head installed by Best Buy in '04), it'll cut in and out. How to remove radio?

Re: 03- Front speakers cutting out
Since your radio now is a JVC aftermarket it's hard for me to say how that model would be released. The OEM Ford radio has a couple DIN rail release tools you can buy at Wal*Mart for about 4 bucks that slide in each side to release an internal latching clip. The radio then slides out.
I would guess that your JVC has something similar. When in doubt, read the documentation that came with your radio (assuming you were given the box and the instructions / manual) from the install back in '04. With any luck, the main power / speaker plug has just worked loose and reconnecting it will cure your sound problems. GLTY.
