Problem starting a 1994 Plymouth Voyager 3.0L
Hello,
like some of you know, I bought this with low miles from an old couple and the transmission was bad. So I got a rebuild one installed last week but I have another problem. When I go to start it after a couple of hours sitting, like in the morning to go to work, I turn the key to the position just before starting it, I hear the fuel pump, and then try to start it but it only does a "click" sound. When I got it back from the garage it was not that bad. This morning it clicked like 20 times before turning and starting normally like nothing happened. Is it the starter itself or something else? The old couple told me it never did that before the transmission went bad, so is it somehting they messed up when installing my new transmission? Thanks! JF |

Sounds like loose battery cable connections and solenoid connector on the starter, they did have to remove the starter to remove tranny. I would check for loose connections on the starter.

I hope your right and it's only that...
Also I forgot to say that when I go to my lunch break, it take only 1 or 2 tries and it start. It seem to get worse the more it sit... Can it still be only a connection? |
