create a leak after instaling caravan motor
I've install a wreckers motor in my 97 caravan 3l, when i bolt on the the flywheel back to the torque converter, a leak of tranny oil show up, leaking drips at the time. Finish installing the motor and start it, but a gush of oil came down from the dust plate. Did a seperate something while i was bolting the flywheel to the torque???
Thank you |

Re: create a leak after instaling caravan motor
The torque converter is full of tranny fluid so maybe it just leaked out as you installed it.
Does it gush out constantly when its running? If not just wipe up the spill and top off the tranny fliud. If it does your going to have to seperate them and find the leak. Not to bust your chops.... but if you didn't ....you should have replaced the rear seal while it was easy to get to when the motor was out. Good luck |
