98 Lincoln Town Car Wipers Only Function on High Speed

98 Lincoln Town Car wipers function on high speed but do not function on lo speed or intermittent selection. My guess is that the wiper multi-switch is ok but the wiper control module is malfunctioning. Does anyone have any ideas?

Actually, the first suspects (in this case, on this vehicle) are the MFS (multi function switch, and the control module.

There are specific tests that need to be performed to rule out each component.

I could take lots of time and copy the testing procedures from your 1998 FSM, but it would be much easier on me if you'd get a copy off my web page, free.

Steve is right on the money there. I've seen that the wiper control module goes bad more often than the multi function switch. But it could be either one of them that's causing the problem.
