War Party! (Injun attack)

The "Super Chevy" tour will be at Virginia Motorsports Park next weekend (April 25th, 26th). It's open to all GM-powered cars.

By no coincidence, Dirty Bird (FKA Drunken Injun , 475 CID Pontiac-powered TA/FC, currently the quickest/fastest Pontiac V8 on the planet) will be there as a "guest" of the show. A "match race" has been arranged with a "top" BBC-powered TA/FC (522 CID, Big Chief). They will only allow us to run 1/8 mile at their event (all the "pro" cars are limited to this). We feel the Chevy will be "toast".

We're inviting any and all Pontiac-powerd racers to show up for the "War Party". Many of the better bracket racers around the Richmond area run Pontiac engines. We'd like to show our stuff and let the BBC crowd KNOW, "We're baaaaaaaccccckkkkkk........!" And it's no "rumor". Edelbrock just announced the release of both a "Performer" head (d-port, ecomomical performance) and a "Victor" head (race ONLY) for the Pontiac. This signals to the aftermarket community, the market is larger than they believed. Jim Hand's book "How to Build Max-performance Pontiac V8s", published by SA Designs, just went into its FIFTH printing, far exceeding their expectations, and becoming the best selling book they've published.

Nothing would make us happier than to be told: "Buicks, Caddys and Olds' are welcome, you Injuns stay the hell away!"

It is indeed, a wonderful time to be an Injun lover!

Jim

Re: War Party! (Injun attack)

Jim, my first " real " experience with Pontiac's potential was in 1966 when a fellow racer on Long Island fielded a light weight 62 Catalina and gave my Max Wedge fits. Good luck and have fun. Shep
