Another 97 Tbird problem- sunroof

I knew getting a car with a sunroof would be a problem someday
My 16 yo brought it back one day with the rear corner of the sunroof collapsed/ depressed about 1/2 an inch. Surprisingly enough " uh, I dont know what happened, I didnt do it."

Can the headliner be removed without damaging it somehow?
I have never seen one that looked ok after getting pulled down for some reason or another. I am hoping that the rail or track on the sunroof is just bent and can be straightened. I would really hate to have to goop the thing up with silicone just to keep the interior dry.
This sunroof always worked great and never leaked

Any good ideas or solutions would be appreciated!

I do not have a sunroof in my '96 but to remove the headliner in mine
you have to remove the front seat belt anchor bolts (located just inside both doors, behide the front seats on the floor board), the door sills, the back seat (top and bottom), the interiot A-pillar covers, the little hanger hooks (above the side quarter windows), the rear stereo speakers, the rear sail covers (the large piece that covers the B-pillar and surrounds the side quarter windows)
and the dome light.

Thanks JR. Does the headliner have any points that are glued in place that might tear? Any difficult to remove interior trim pieces?
Any body out there have any experience with the factory sunroof?

If I remember correctly, there are some glue points near the back, that run parallel to the back glass.

You will need a T30 torx bit to remove the seat belt anchor bolt.

Hi;I know it might be kind of late,but, I just found this sight.Do not drop the headliner!,there is no need to.The sunroof itself has adjustment screws on it's glide supports,they can be accessed from inside the car.They are socket head screws.You can loosen the screws,a little,then push the sunroof up or down.The front screw is for the front and the back screw for the rear.Both RT & LT tracks adjust the same way.More than likely the screws were loose and the sunroof dropped.Hope this helps.By the way,each track has a plastic trim strip covering them;they just snap off.If the pins break just put them back w/ 3M trim tape, double sided.
