TPS losing 5v reference.
We have a 2000 Pontiac Montana that has an intermittent TPS. We changed out the TPS but we are still having problems. It looks like the TPS is losing it's 5 volt reference once in a while and reading 0 on the scanner. Press the pedal down and it would still read 0. When I read the codes it had p0122 TPS/Pedal position sensor A circuit low input( which was expected) and a p0452 Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Low Input indicates a low voltage problem in the Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor (FTPS). I understand that also uses a 5 volt reference. Anyone know if changing the FTPS would be the next step. Is it located on top of the fuel tank over the fuel pump. Thanks
