basically, where i live i have a tight gate which you have to go through at an angle cause you have to turn immediately afterwards.
ive recently started wearing glasses and have been complaining i cant judge distances so good when driving with them on.

so, i opened the gate, went to drive through like a million times before.
turned in too tight, caught the left side scraped the body work, back wheel caught on the gate post, twisted the back wheel about 45 degrees so it looks like i got 4 wheel steering!

the trailing arm of the suspension is fucked, and the hub i do belive.
i also got a feeling my wheel i slightly buckled, dunno whether fixable yet.
luckily though, i just happen to have a spare civic, so ive already taken all the parts off both ready to swap over but it got dark so had to stop.

i tell ya what was real fun, was moving it from the entrance of the gate up to a flatter more out of the way part of our back parking area. we had to put a trolley jack under it and drive very slowly. the impact had also caused the handbrake to pull itself on.

my mate has taken some pics but im waiting for him to send me them.

i reckon the insurance comapny would quote it a write off if i told them, which is why soooo relived i have spares already and can fix it myself. and a new wheel will only cost £75.

this will teach me not to wear glasses when driving.

when i first said that it was kind of an off humor joke when 4-5 people wrecked within 24-48 hr period. man, it's turning into a phrase said too many times hopefully the wrecking will stop soon!!!

that is the first time i have heard of someone wrecking from wearing glasses. i would call the eye dr and bitch.

doesnt look too bad, at least you already have most of the parts to repair it now anyway.
