weird stuff on startup problem (update)

Original thread here: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=947627

ok, I have found that if I let the car sit in the on position long enough for the electronic fuel pump (I think that's what I hear) to stop, it almost never does the dash flashing thing.

Although I did hear a buzz in the center of the dash the other day and the service engine soon light flickered and the car almost stalled.

Anyone hear of these symptoms before?

Re: weird stuff on startup problem (update)

Fuel filter will not cause these problems.

Did you check the ignition switch as suggested? A faulty ignition switch can cause all kinds of problems and make you believe you have a fuel related issue. You also could have a bad fuel pressure regulator. If you do a search on "fuel pressure regulator", you should find posts addressing this issue and directions on how to test and replace it.
