the lamest thing ever

so i went to safeway to get groceries. all was well. on my way back out, about halfway across the parking lot, i see a shopping cart being blown by the shitty monterey wind. . . . right into the front of my car. now there is a little row of dents/scratches on the front. i talked to my insurance company, and apparently there is nothing i can do about it. any solutions on how to fix this? the dents arent really deep but they are noticeable

Re: the lamest thing ever

Do you have full coverage? If so I guess maybe that doesn't count since there was no accident. Now if you do have full coverage just lightly bump into someone at a stop light. Then you will get your damage repaired. Just kidding, I had some scratches on a car though because it got keyed, I can't remember the name of the stuff but it came in a bottle and I rubbed it in circles and it took it out. And the scratches were very noticeable to start with.

hmmm too bad you cant remember the name. but no i dont have full coverage. they said they could pull it off as an 'uninsured motorist' thing, but i have like a $500 deductible so its pretty much pointless. could a body shop maybe fill in the dents? like i said, theyre not deep

Re: the lamest thing ever

I would definitely tell the store manager what happened. They might have signs up in the parking lot stating they aren't responsible so they will probably not pay for damages. I would however tell him that if they do not put bump guards on there karts you will shop at a grocery store that does have them and that you will tell everyone about the problem you experienced at the store which is something that was completely out of your control. You was just in there shopping and come out and because some idiot didn't put the cart where it goes and also the fact there was no guards(i'm assuming) on the kart you got screwed.

I'm pretty sure what he's talking about is rubbing compoud they sell it at any automotive store be careful with it though it will rub all of your clear coat off and don't use a buffer. I would advise using some finishing compound also if you do use the rubbing compound then waxing it
