Passenger Side Turn Signal

I was working on my truck (2000 Chevy Silverado 2500) today hooking up wires for my plow and I got everything done except the passenger side turn signal wire.... So I was poking at the wires with a test light to see which one was the turn signal wire and while doing so both front and back lights quit flashing but the light on the dash still flashes normal... Does anybody have any ideas what I can try to make the light work properly again? Also the driver side lights work just fine still... Thanks in advance for any opinions
