Lowered 3500 Dually Restore to stock
hello,
i purchased a 1990 chev 3500 dually for cheap, i plan to tow a 5th wheel with it so i need it restored to stock ride height. according to the guy i bought it from the overload springs were removed and the front coils were cut or lowered with springs, supposedly no spindles were changed. i am going to have a shop do the work but they charge out the butt for parts like coils and leaf springs so to save some cash i am trying to get parts on my own. my question is does anyone know what i need as far as parts if it was just dropped in this manner. do i just need overload springs & u-bolts and coils & maybe some stock balljoints for the front? or am i going to need more than that and is it way more involved. its hard finding a dually in a junkyard for these parts, autozone has front coils and i would like most hardware and smaller parts new anyway. i plan on new wheel bearings and all that anyway. |
