Paint Question
I once bought a Floquil black that was a perfect semi gloss black for what I wanted to match.
Unfortunately I broke the bottle and threw it away before I wrote down the colour. Dumb! I thought it was engine black, but it is just a tad too flat. Anyone with knowledge of these colours, appreciate your suggestions on which of the Floquil blacks is semigloss, just slightly more gloss than flat? I am wondering if it was oily black, but this only comes in poly and my original colour was not poly. Was there ever an enamel oily black? It might also be steam black, or grimy black, but these appear to be too grey? Appreciate any suggestions Stephen |

Re: Paint Question
You might want to try Testors Model Master Black Chrome. It's a satin black, somewhere between flat black and semi-gloss black. I use it a lot for interior and chassis parts.

Re: Paint Question
Tamiya TS29, semi gloss black, is great for chassis parts. It's a synthetic lacquer that comes in a spray can with a very good nozzle.
