2001 Eclipse GT won't start

I got my Eclipse yesterday, drove it around and everything was fine. It started with one turn of the key each time. Yet, without any warnings, I try to go today and my car doesn't start. The engine doesn't turn over. All I get is a clicking sound. The battery isn't dead, and I've tried jumping it.

Ideas?

I just want to know if there's anything else, or an easy fix, I should check before getting it towed.

First make sure your battery connections are good and tight. You might have a bad solenoid switch. But if you don't have time to change that out and need to get it back home you can jack the side up closest to the starter. Then take the jumper cables, don't worry about the black side, take the red clamp from one side and hook it up to your positive battery post, then crawl under the car and touch the other red side of the cables to your big starter bolt on your starter, make sure key is in the run position first. MAKE SURE THE VEHICLE IS IN PARK OR NEUTRAL BEFORE DOING THIS YOU COULD GET KILLED IF YOU DON'T DO THIS FIRST.

Oh my car's at home. I wanted to go out and about and, yeah, without warning it decided to stop working.

But the solenoid switch could be bad. That could quite possibly be it, but it seems like a job that's out of my league. I think I'll still have to take it in, unfortunately.

I'll check it out. Thanks.

Well, I hope that I can at least save you a tow fee. You may feel uncomfortable trying the first way I described. Is your vehicle an automatic or straight drive?

It's a manual.

If you can get it to a hill you should be able to roll it off and start it then.
