Tranny problems

What's the best way to get to the flywheel and torque converter in a 96 grand am?? Best to take the motor out or drop the tranny? I have to start this project today so I have the three days to do so but I'm not sure the best route to take! HELP??!! Please!

if you do not have a lift then engine out.

Have a cherry picker so engine out it is.......Thank You I was sure that was what it had to be just wanted some back up!
