One set of uprights left

For anyone who wants a set, I have 1 set ready to ship.

$225 shipped to the 50 US states

These are the "new design" without the ESM logo, see pic.

These do obviously require cutting of the existing uprights and drilling the proper holes. Took me about 20 minutes start to finish to install mine ad Devin's so it's not hard or complicated

PM me if youre interested.

P.S. 1 customer had a spoiler with double sheer spoiler brackets that had trouble installing these so if you have a double sheer setup let me know.

Why did they bend? Where did they bend? We have a diff. design that bent as well (without crashing) and I am working on a new design.

I've thought about this for awhile too I just don't see how two relatively thin pieces of aluminum can hold up that big ass wing in a 150mph windstorm, especially when they are being extended up as high as they are.

The wing is going to "sway" (even if just a little) which will become an exponential problem at the point where the wing bolts to the upright, resulting at the very least in a collapse. One could use a piece of angle iron to firm up the upright, but that would look like crap. I’m thinking that you're going to have to make the upright out of some much wider and thicker aluminum or possibly even a heaver metal.

Just my .02

Re: One set of uprights left

ive checked mine after the last couple of events and have found zero stress areas. I know Eric's bent due to a few missing/loose bolts....but, not to say that it can't happen....ive been fortunate thus far.

Re: One set of uprights left

We did not have a problem at Mid-Ohio for a 4 day racing weekend. We had a problem at Homestead Miami. there is a huge high speed dip while turning that sent the wing into a violent shake. Sooooo i think it depends on the track. Now my uprights are 3/16" because that is the space between the double sheer wing attachment brackets that the GTS comes with. Erics is 1/4" since his is single sheer it fits. Mine is one complete unit that replaces the factory unit and attaches to the bodywork right where it breaks the plane of the trunk (this was how the factory wing attached too). Eric cuts his factory wing and bolts the new one too it.

I am designing a new one out of 3/8" or maybe 1/2". I just have to deal with the attachment to the double sheer bracket and we are good.

The design i used and you have i think is fine min has sustained more than 2 G hard turns and been trouble free, as have devins and the others who have used them have been trouble free!

And after factoring in that I'm so much slower than you guys I shouldn't have any problems...
