Engine Mechanical problem

2000 GMC Sierra V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 200000 miles

When ever the Truck gets to opperating temperature it will stall out and die, the truck will not start again until it has cooled down. the problem started out inconsistant but now happens daily. i have changed the fuel pump in the gas tank twice using AC Delco parts, i have changed the fuel filter, mass flow sensor cam sensor, crank sensor, 2 O2 sensors, fuel regulator, complete tune up, all of the fuses and the thermostat. i have no idea what to do know and this problem has already cost me close to 2000.00 dollars, can you help me out.

Re: Engine Mechanical problem

Welcome to AF, do you have spark and fuel press. when it won't start, will it start with starting fluid in the intake, basic steps here.

Re: Engine Mechanical problem

Sounds like an ignition control module. Works when cool, heats up and no problems. But, proper testing before just throwing parts at it. Do you have access to a scan tool? A scope? Any diagnostic equipment? First step is to find out whats missing when it wont run, just as maxwedge suggested.

Re: Engine Mechanical problem

Also too does this vehicle have coil packs or a distributor and single coil? Agreed with the rest though first check for spark and fuel when having the problem and get back.
