chevy 350 cam timing NEED HELP

i have a small block chevy 350 bored 60 over pop up pistons 11 AND HALF TO 1 COMPRESSION WHERE SHOULD I DEGREE CAM TO? I PUT IT AT ZERO STRAIGHT UP AND DOWN AND IT JUST DOGS OUT ON ME CANT TIME IT AT ALL CAN SOME ONE HELP PLEASE? COMP CAM 292 DURATION 501 LIFT....

Dawg...

The cam "card" should give you a parameter called "Intake Centerline" (ICL). Comp has a great description of how to properly "degree" a cam on their website. Follow instructions...

Be sure to check ignition timing and fuel supply before delving into the innards.
