Buying Jeep - Need Recommendations

I have a 95 GC 5.2L with 215,000 miles. I am looking at getting a later model GC due to the high milage. I am looking at years 04-08. Does anyone have any recommendations as far as which years are better or required less maintenance? Any imput would be great.

Thanks,

Buns

Re: Buying Jeep - Need Recommendations

2004 was the last year for the 4.0 liter inline six, and body style same as the 1999 year. After that the vehicle style changed, which has carried through to the current year.

I'm not acquainted with how the 05 and up is for maintenance, but I can say that my 04 has been trouble free. I bought it used last year with 18K and just rolled over 51k.

I haven't driven the 05 and up so can't comment on differences; they have less headroom than the 04 and down and I'm too tall to fit comfortably.
