Re: 99 gtp
Welcome to AF!!
Before you change the pulley on the supercharger you need to do some additional mods to the car to maximize the performance. At a minimum you will need to do a cold air intake, do a U-bend delete to open up the exhaust or better yet install headers with a high flow cat and a catback exhaust. You should consider colder plugs and I would get the PCM reprogrammed to take advantage of the mods once you do everything else. Good Luck! |

Re: 99 gtp
Smaller pulley = more boost = more fuel needed = worse mpg. However, intakes and exhaust mods can actually improve mpg. However, with bolt-ons you can still achieve pretty decient mpg.

Re: 99 gtp
Actually your mileage will only suffer if you keep your foot in the supercharger. If you are like my son that likes the SC as much as possible the mileage will certainly suffer. However, if you are like me and only use the SC when you need it the mileage should stay basically the same if not improve once you open up the exhaust.

Re: 99 gtp
True GTPDad. Staying under boost unless needed you may in fact gain some mpg. While I have not driven a GTP enough (nor I guess did I pay attention to this) to know how easy it is to slip up into boost but the easier it does the worse mpg you will get. On stock 9B turbos on my VR4 it is actually somewhat difficult to stay out of boost while accelerating in 2nd and 3rd gear as they spool up so quickly since they are not terribley large turbos.

Re: 99 gtp
Try this! http://www.pfyc.com/c/GPEXH/Exhaust.html They are reputable and the prices are reasonable. You may also want to check ZZPerformance.
