Question 4wd Question

Hello all. I have tried everything to get my 4wd working agian in my 93 2500. When i bought it it had a automatic transmission in it and the 4wd worked fine. When the tranny finally went i did a full conversion over to a stick. I have had no problems at all with it driving it since except for the 4wd doesnt engage. Switched out the steering column and all when i converted it over. The transfer case engages but the eletronic actuator in the front diff will not. I am getting 12V to it and all but it will not lock in. it won't click or anything in the front diff. I am assuming since it was a auto that maybe there is a wire i am missing that i might have to hook a switch in order to make the computer think its in 4wd so that the front diff will work? Any input on this would be greatly appriciated on this one. This was my first true swap over from a auto to a manual. Thank you all so much .

Re: 4wd Question

Shouldn't have anything to do with your swap. A '93 would've had the gas powered front differential actuator, they go bad regularly. I can't remember for sure, but if you don't have power either of the wires to the actuator with the lever in 2wd, but do have power to one in 4wd, then it's telling the actuator to engage. I would get another actuator. The last one I put in was $35 at oreilly.
