91 S-10 2.5 won't start HELP!

This truck has been the best I've ever owned 240 thousand miles but the past two days I have run into a problem I just can't fix
To start with it would not crank put the gm code reader and it said #32 egr valve so I replaced it and the egr sensor it started up but ran about 3 min then shut down
Now here is the real kicker I can have the truck pulled and it will start run good, shut it off then try to start it but it won't start! I have spark to the #1 cylinder spark plug wires

But have I missed something? Please help this is the only vehicle I have now need to go to work!

You mean the trucks is a manual and it will push start and run but not run with turning the key to START? If this is the case, you might have a weak battery, poor battery connections or a starter that draws too much current, warn plugs etc. Does it crank very fast when turning the key? You said it has spark but is a good strong spark?

Yeah its possible you need a new battery or new starter... and remember if you change the starter to remember which wire goes where.. cause if you dont it wont crank at all.
