Climate Control Backlight Went Out..
Does anyone know how hard it is to replace one of the backlights on the climate control? I tried looking in a Chilton's but it wasn't very helpful.

Re: Climate Control Backlight Went Out..
I think that it has to be pulled apart. I would use white or blue LED, less likely to burn out like the incandescent that the climate control box has.

I agree that it probably has to be pulled apart. Has anyone actually done that? How difficult is it?

Re: Climate Control Backlight Went Out..
The only problem with LED's is 1 you have to observe the polarity and 2 the led needs a 1k dropping resistor. LED's are immune to being bounced around in normal driving and also to voltage spikes.
