I have heard that a MAS can give a 430 code if defective or dirty. I have installed a K&N air filter and have cleaned the MAS with a commercial cleaner from Auto zone. Have changed both the pre and post flow O2s and have checked extensively for exhaust leaks. Can I have a bad MAS?

Re: Pleas Help W/p0430 code
Could be an exhaust leak or a catalytic converter going bad. The MAF sensor does not cause that code it's your oxygen sensor downstream from the catalytic converter.

Re: Pleas Help W/p0430 code
![]() It's probably a vacuum leak past the MAF sensor that it's not detecting and the o2 is reading a constant lean condition. |

Re: Pleas Help W/p0430 code
How do I find this vacuum leak? Can you recommend where I should start looking? The code only comes from the bank 2 side. Is it possible a vacuum leak can only effect the right bank? Thanks for any help.

I doubt it I think you would be having more codes than what you have but I could be wrong.

Check all the vacuum lines that attach to that side of the motor at all connections for cung fit and no breakage.
