Angry 2001 malibu fuel pump

I just installed a used fuel pump and now the car starts and runs good except when I try to give more than half throttle and right turns it dies or cuts out. I can put it in nutural and start it again. The check engine light doesnt come on at all.
Please help.

Well it's possible you didn't position the pump assembly properly in the sump so the pump is getting fuel starved from the g-force of turning. Does it only do this while the fuel tank level is low?

Yes, it runs okay from full to half tank but half to almost empty it dies and cant really go highway speeds. The pump itself has a small black hose on the out side that doesnt seem to be right.
