03' GTI Cruise malfunction

I own a 2003 GTI 1.8T with 36Kmi. Immaculate condition. (Still has original tires)
Between last night and this morning the cruise control quit working.
I turn the switch on and the light in the dash comes on and the set and resume buttons do nothing.
Any one else had this issue, or any ideas?

Re: 03' GTI Cruise malfunction

Fixed the problem, 4-pin brake light switch was bad, I never knew the brake lights were not working.

There was a recall for those a couple years back. It is called the N4 recall. Any dealer will have the switch. It's only like 8 bucks at max. For Jetta, Golf, Beetle, GTI.... the switch is green. If it's for a passat the switch is black. However since recalls don't expire, it won't cost you a dime.

This recall also applies to Audi.
