please help, upgrading sound system in my car

i drive a toyota matrix(4 dr hatchback) and am looking to upgrade from the stock setup. i need an amp and subs. i listen to fast heavy metal and rock mostly and was thinking of either getting two 8 or 10 inch subs. i understand that a sealed box is the way to go for this type of music.. but what brand suits this music best and what size subs.. 8 or 10's? ive heard good things about alpine, kicker, and JL. can anyone share their experiences with their sub setups for metal music?

i need extremely fast response and good clarity. im not looking for anything too expensive but i dont want anything cheap either..

I'd add Orion and Focal to that list. Though Focal might be harder to find.

higher quality usually equal higher price, fortunately most of sound quality will be a result of the install

Call the dudes at Crutchfield. They will put you in the right direction for your ride. www.crutchfield.com

Just because you call them does'nt mean you have to buy from them.
