97 Supreme sunroof adjustments
Anybody ever had any luck trying to "tune" one of these up ? I had the headliner replaced by the local experts, and when I got it back, it had trrible air leaks. I took it back and they got it to seal well, but now it hardly wants to open or close. It almost acts like it's binding or something. Statute of limitations has now expired on their work, and there's hardly anybody that wants to mess with one. Any tips ?
Thanks in advance ............. |

Re: 97 Supreme sunroof adjustments
Look for something obviously binding in the tracks then get a body manual, it is also possible this is not a factory installation but an aftermarket unit which can be more problematic. If it has a wide black trim around the opening seen from the outside of the roof it is not factory.

Re: 97 Supreme sunroof adjustments
Nope, this one's a factory deal. Worked smooth as glass when it went in, but after it went in for just the sunroof headliner replacement, well .........
They must be a real hoot. Nobody around here for the most part wanted to mess with it. Some had even talked like I'd have to take it to St. Louis, which is about 200 miles away ! I'm almost scared anymore to open it, for fear it wont close. |
