Dome light

I have a 98 neon and the dome light doesnt work i thought it was the fuse but its ok heres the thing every now and then it will come on has anyone else had this problem or know why its doing this

Might be an electrical short under the dash. Have you ever had an alarm installed? If so, they might have stripped a wire and left it bare. So if it touches metal, it will flicker on and off.

Check the door switches (plunger type that door closes when doors shut) if the plunger is hanging up or wire is broken or bad ground, this can happen.

not even so much a flicker every now and then il just come out and like magic its working.. maybe the plunger but i think it would come on with the switch still idk if this is relate but cig lighter ha never worked either and arnt they on the same fuse

Anything else not working right or is it just the dome light and cig lighter? Try checking your ACC relay. Might not be the same problem I had cause mine wouldn't even start.

did you try the bulb? probly not the issue but mabey. it sounds as if theres a wiring problem start at on end and work your way to the other. ie fuse box to dome light
