Question: Nissan Micra 1/24

Hi guys!

I have a question about those March/Micra kits from Fujimi.

I'm planning to buy this kit but I would like to be sure of one thing:

There is a difference in the K11 model in the front of the car, the old version have a more "squared" headlights and also the frontal grid.
The other version have more sharpened headlights
Here is the difference between those models:

In HLJ there are a couple of kits :

First http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ03546
Second http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ18787

It seems that the first one in the second picture, has the "squared" headlights and the second seems to have the "sharpened" headlights.

I'm not sure if the second kit is the one which I'm looking for (the newer version with sharpened headlights therefore the second picture that I have posted)

Hope anyone could help me I would like to see more closeup pictures of the model if it is possible..

Roca.

Re: Question: Nissan Micra 1/24

They are the same kit with different decals but neither is a 100% match for your photo as the grill doesn't match; the kit has molded on mesh instead of the chromed grill as per your photo.

As for the headlights, they resemble the newer lights in that they reach the bumper whereas the older lights do not but their shape isn't 100%.

I'm guessing here but I have a feeling that this new version is a modified version of the original older type headlight car.

Re: Question: Nissan Micra 1/24

Both of the kits you liked to represent the car after the face-lift, or what you call the "sharpened" headlight version. Fujimi did make the early K11 (what you refer to as the "squared" headlight one), and the box looked like these.

You can't find these kits as new any more (except for an unsold inventory), because the tool was modified into the later version.

Re: Question: Nissan Micra 1/24

Thank's mates for your reply!!

Yes.. I read somewhere on internet that at March 98 there was a face-lift of this model.

Well If I want to do it I must do some modifications.I hope to find the car on Internet but at the moment it have to wait a little bit.

Thank's for all the information!

Roca.

Guys, I'm searching through Internet to find pictures of the kit at the Shizuoka Hobby show.. I think it was released in 2003 as HLJ says.. If anyone have the link of the gallery of that year please put it here I'm still searching. Thank's!!!
