Re: Porsche 993 GT2 Club Sport [junk] - Finished!
Hi
I have worked on it in little steps, and now it is finished. It is my second model. I decided not only to depict the model itself, but also the purpose of this car. Is there any other use than racing for a GT2?! This means that I replaced the fog lights with air intakes and applied real German numberplates instead of the boring "GT2"-plates. It was mainly build OOB otherwise, I just added carpet and remade the suspension in K&W style. I also weathered the model using pastes. During the build, I came across several problems. The biggest problem that you still see is that the red mica paint was lifted on some spots due to the (Tamiya) clear. I couldn't retouch everything. I also lost the clear parts for the front indicator lights. On the other side, I learned a lot during this and I can highly recommend this kit. I'm also quite happy with the weathering. In the end, I think that this model came out better than the first one (Z-Tune). But judging is up to you! Much better than your other car! If I remember correctly which one. Your paint is getting close. Using 3 light coats before going to a wet coat will help your clear be more friendly to the Mica red under it.
Keep it up you are getting there, TW |
